Wales
Wales uses the Additional Learning Needs (ALN) system under the ALN Act 2018. Children receive Individual Development Plans (IDPs) instead of EHCPs, coordinated by ALN Coordinators (ALNCos).
Scotland
Scotland operates under the Additional Support for Learning Act 2004. Children may receive Coordinated Support Plans (CSPs). Support is arranged through local authorities and Additional Support for Learning teams.
Northern Ireland
Northern Ireland uses Statements of Special Educational Needs, managed centrally by the Education Authority (EA). The system predates the 2014 reforms that apply in England.
